A fulfilling and meaningful career starts with objectively knowing what your brain’s wired to do best.
When we do things our brains are good at and our brains like doing (our natural aptitudes), we’re happy. We’re challenged. We’re excited. We’re successful.Â
Conversely, when we work in a job that doesn’t use our natural aptitudes, we’re demotivated, bored, frustrated, and stifled. We know we need a change, but we often don’t know what job would be more fulfilling, interesting, and joyful.Â
THE PATHFINDER TEST
An objective, fact-based measurement of how our brains function and think.

The Pathfinder method starts with an objective assessment of a person’s natural aptitudes.
Based on the most advanced research in human behavior, it delivers consistent, accurate & objective results about 19 inherent natural skills and strengths (aptitudes). There are no “good” or “bad” results; the test simply offers data about one’s brain’s natural way of working and thinking.
What makes The Rockport Career Aptitude Test different?
Â
While other tests measure personality, learning styles, or group strengths (which are extremely valuable in the right context), this test provides an unbiased, factual assessment of one’s cognitive abilities. Because of this, this test is unlike any other test including the Jungs, 16 personalities, Kolbe, and Clifton Strengths.
What influences the accuracy of the test?
The accuracy of the test results does not depend on the individual’s:
❌ education, work experience, or culture. High-school dropouts and seasoned executives will find accurate, eye-opening reflections of their strengths and aptitudes.
❌ emotional or psychological state when they take the test. Other aptitude test results may vary depending on a person’s mood or feelings at a point in time. Research shows that this test provides consistent results across the board.
❌ level of self-awareness. People with high levels of self-awareness find it valuable to get validation and the language, and clarity to understand themselves in a new way they can relate to their careers and future choices. Similarly, young people with little self-awareness will gain life-altering insights and self-understanding of why they succeeded or struggled in certain areas up till now.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
This program is designed for experienced professionals who have a solid understanding of counseling fundamentals. Interaction, collaboration, and hands-on learning are key components of this program.
We limit the program to 15 participants so that everyone can actively participate and get personal feedback. To earn certification, you'll need to attend at least 80% of the live sessions.

10 weekly classes where you will learn the foundations of the Rockport Career coaching method.
Coursework
To receive certification you will need to administer five assessments along with a debrief. You will submit the transcripts along with a detailed summary of the session. These summaries will be critiqued and marked. Select sessions as well as presented to the group
10 hours of Train-the-trainer / Interactive group sessions
Each week, participants will have the opportunity to present to the group. Your instructor and group members will offer feedback and ask questions. These sessions include role-plays, dialogues, or live coaching.

To participate in this training, you must complete the Rockport career aptitude test and attend your own 30-minute debriefing session before the course starts. The test and debrief are included in your course fee. (The standard cost is $575.)
